In connection with the launch of full bond trading with T+2 settlement cycle (the “T+2 Trade Cycle”) on BBX, the BBX platform documentation (comprising the Rulebook, Information Memorandum and Deed Polls) have been revised. Below highlights some key features related to the T+2 Trade Cycle:
- Introduction of Market Counterparty as a new membership category (Rulebook - Rule 1.1; Rule 4.7)
- Trades may be subject to varying settlement cycle from time to time (Rulebook - Rule 13.10, / IM - Pages 8, 9, 16; Form of Final Terms)
- Trades may be subject to minimum trading size (Rulebook - Rule 13.10, / IM - Pages 8, 9, 16; Form of Final Terms)
- Requirement to pre-fund unless it is a Market Counterparty (Rulebook - Rule 14.5.2)
- Requirement that at least one side of the trade (buy or sell) must be pre-funded (Rulebook - Rule 13.10.3)
- Recourse available to non-defaulting party to a trade involving External Delivery (Rulebook - Rule 14.19.1)
- No assumption of clearing and/or settlement activities by BEV as System operator (Rulebook - Rule 13.7.4; Rule 14.19.2 / IM - Page 9)
- No guarantee by BEV of trade settlement nor other liabilities associated with the trade (Rulebook - Rule 14.19.2 / IM - Page 9)

In addition, for ease of reference and to avoid duplication, the fee schedule in the Rulebook has been removed. All applicable fees are published in the Fees section under Market Information on BBX. The existing applicable fees continue to apply for the T+2 Trade Cycle.
The updated Rulebook (version 5.0), updated Information Memorandum (version 5.0) and the updated Deed Polls, are effective 11 July 2023 (the “Effective Date”). For existing BBX members onboarded prior to the Effective Date, T+2 Trade Cycle will only be made accessible in accordance with the terms set out in the email notification issued to each BBX member.
